Vision to Vitality Forum Tackles COVID-19 Recovery, Workforce, and Regional Collaboration

The Iowa Business Council (IBC) will hold its second virtual Vision to Vitality forum of 2020 with Cedar Rapids community and business leaders on Thursday, October 22, from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. The Vision to Vitality forum will be cohosted by IBC member Phil Jasper, President, Mission Systems, of Collins Aerospace.

The community forum will discuss the local economic impact and recovery efforts of COVID-19, recent natural disasters, cultivating the talent pipeline and addressing obstacles to employment. The panel will focus on Cedar Rapids' past success in confronting challenges and its responses to current adversity. The Vision to Vitality forum will conclude with audience Q&A and comment.

Vision Vitality forums are held across the state and are candid discussions with IBC members and local community members about Iowa’s economy and best practices for future growth. IBC members recognize a critical part of addressing the coronavirus' economic impact includes community-led solutions with statewide collaboration to strengthen businesses and empower Iowans to find new growth opportunities.
