ABOUT THE IOWA COALITION FOR INNOVATION & GROWTH
The Iowa Coalition for Innovation & Growth (ICIG) was established in 2001 and is a collaboration of public- and private-sector leaders jointly administered by the Iowa Business Council and the Iowa Chamber Alliance. The Coalition provides a forum to identify economic challenges the state should address and initiate action that leads to a substantive change.
POSITIONING IOWA AS A GLOBAL LEADER
The purpose of the ICIG is to establish a collaborative structure that strives to sustain Iowa’s competitive posture in the global economy. This effort requires implementing proactive measures to address long-term issues recognized as fundamental to building and maintaining a strong physical infrastructure and attracting diverse human resources.
To competitively position Iowa as a leader in the global economy, the ICIG encourages research, technology, business innovation, and growth throughout the state. The ICIG recognizes that if Iowa is to expand its human and financial resources, it must offer attractive career and lifestyle choices in both urban and rural settings. Doing so will enhance the economic vitality of the state and make Iowa a better place to live and work.
MEMBERSHIP
Membership of the Coalition includes both individuals and organizations interested in growing Iowa’s economy. The Coalition focuses the active commitment of its members on putting ideas into action for the creation of a stronger, more vibrant Iowa economy.
